Frasaco PK-2 – Phantom head with simulation articulator
The Frasaco PK-2 phantom head was designed as a more affordable alternative to the proven P-6 series, without compromising on handling or possible applications. It equips pre-clinical simulation labs at dental schools and training centres.
- Neck articulation in the anatomically correct position at the cranial base: combined with one of Frasaco's many mounting systems, it allows work in realistic treatment positions on workbenches, dental chairs or simulators.
- Phantom articulator with a temporomandibular joint featuring patented condylar boxes in hard plastic and three-dimensionally curved condylar paths, reproducing anatomically correct jaw movements.
- Model jaws and articulations positioned in the correct anatomical relationship; vertical adjustment for mounting different dental models.
- Compatible with all P-6 model mounting solutions, including anatomical face bows, and with P-6 face masks and water drainage options, making work with water spray easy.
- Front part of the skull dome opens for easy access to the screws that hold dental models and face masks.
- Models screw-retained as standard; magnetic mounting plates available at no extra charge if requested with the order.
Important: dental model and fixation not included. Add a model (for example the Frasaco AG-3), a face mask (P-6 GMN) and a mount suited to your workstation: table plate, under-bench fixture or torso.
For simulation units with a torso, Frasaco uses the PK-2 HGB version, with neck movement limited to the anatomical degrees of freedom. Made in Germany by Frasaco.

Frequently asked questions
Is a dental model included with the PK-2?
No. Frasaco states "dental model and fixation not included": add a model (for example the AG-3), a face mask and a mounting system (table, chair or torso).
What is the difference between PK-1, PK-2 and PK-2 HGB?
The PK-1 has no built-in articulator (models are mounted, for example, on the UAV universal articulator). The PK-2 features a phantom articulator with patented condylar boxes. The PK-2 HGB is the version with limited neck movement, used on units with a torso.
Can I work with water spray?
Yes. All P-6 face masks and water drainage options can be used on the PK-2, making it easy to work with water spray.
Can models be retained magnetically?
Yes. Frasaco phantom heads are equipped for screw retention as standard; magnetic mounting plates can be fitted at no extra charge if requested with the order.
