UNIVERSAL IMPLANT GUIDE by Prof. Ali ELHAMID Sold in pairs Upper and Lower The vestibular side is smooth and anchors the handle at the level of the two central incisors. The upper side bears the number of each tooth from 1 to 7 of the two half-arches and a line marking the middle of each tooth. The lower side is an exact copy of the upper one. The handle has the width of the two central incisors at which it originates. On its upper side as on its lower side it is marked by a median line over its whole length. The median line originates between the two central incisors. The GIU exists in duplicate, one for the maxilla and one for the mandible. It is made of metal deformable at will , sterilisable and for multiple use. The malleability makes it possible to increase or reduce the width of the arch and to adapt its shape to that of the patient.
